Professional3D course will provide the students with the training needed, gathering multidisciplinary instructors with years of practical experience in post- processing of the medical image, Advanced surgical Planning using 3D tecnologies (such as 3D Printing or VR) and use of the image for research.
Objectives
The primary objective of this course is to focus on medical imaging for diagnostic purposes, aimed not only at physicians but also at bioengineers, computer scientists, senior diagnostic imaging technicians, radiologists and other medical specialists. Given the diverse backgrounds of participants, prior programming or 3D CAD knowledge is not required. However, those with experience in these fields will receive extended guidance on the fundamentals of 3D imaging.

Methodology
Professional3D contains 3 modules:
Module 1: Introduction: present and future of medical image applications
Dive in to the world of advanced surgical Planning and 3D technologies focused in healthcare applications with an overview of real word examples for surgeries and research. Get an introduction to the EU regulation.
Module 2: Anatomy and image techniques
The radiological eye: Review of modern technologies and techniques related to anatomy and image techniques.
Module 3: Image post-processing, 3D Printing tecnologies and materials and Bio-Printing
Hands-on room sessions about 3D tools and multiple techniques for different applications, printing materials and a visit to a local print Fab-farm. Final Project: Comprehensive Use Case based on a real surgery (Team work)
